Here is my writing!
Is Mr Wolf Guilty For 1st Degree Murder?
I firmly believe that Mr Wolf is Guilty of 1st degree murder. In this piece of writing I will explain 4 arguments on why Mr Wolf is guilty.
Firstly, I think it’s obvious that he is guilty because he broke and entered Grandma's house without her consent. I think he should be in prison for doing that.
Secondly, he held grandma against her will and locked up Grandma in a cupboard.
Thirdly, he impersonated Grandma by dressing up as her, so red could be tricked into believing Mr Wolf is the Grandma.
Lastly, attempted murder. The wolf tried to kill Red Riding Hood and her Grandma. But in the end the Woodchopper saved Red and Grandma.
Conclusion: I firmly believe that Mr Wolf is guilty

Composting
Do you want to save the planet? Well composting is an environmentally friendly way to do it.
What is it?
Compost is good for using it in your garden because it improves soil structures. You also put yard waste, worms, kitchen scraps, bugs and water into your compost bin.
How is it made?
Compost is made from leaves, dead flowers, grass clippings and more. There are two different composts, green and brown. Greens include fresh grass clippings, picked weeds and kitchen scraps. Browns include dried grass, fall leaves, and flowers. You can stack the browns and greens in layers then put bugs, fungi and water on top.
The benefits of composting
Using compost in your garden can improve the soil and increase the amount of oxygen to plants. Composting is also good for the environment.
Wow facts
Did you know that Compost has been around for 12,000 years?!

Maui's Jawbone
For the reading this week I was learning to apply knowledge. Applying knowledge is used for different situations and contexts. First, I watched a video on how Maui found the magical Jawbone. A part of the story is about how Maui finally found his mother Taranga. But two things bothered him. He wondered where his father was and where his mother went during the day. Maui saw his mum leaping into a deep hole. So he flew down as a Kereru in disguise. Then he saw his mother and his dad beneath a tree. Maui fluttered into the branches of the puriri tree. He pulled out berries and dropped it on his dad to attract his attention. Each day Maui brought food to his grandfather. But one day he hid the food from his grandfather because he wanted the magic Jawbone. "Give me your magic Jawbone and I will give you your kai " said Maui. "No!" said his grandfather. So every day Maui give him the food and ask him again and again, until his grandfather finally gave the magic Jawbone to him.
We got to choose to draw the magic Jawbone or the Kereru. I chose to sketch the Jawbone on a piece of paper. I found it fun sketching the magic Jawbone and colouring it. I found it challenging to take a photo because the piece of paper kept on moving. Here is my sketch of the magic Jawbone!

How does the life cycle of a butterfly work?
For the past few weeks, our class has been learning how write explanation. We were split into two groups for our writing. One group was focusing on including complex sentences in their writing. The other group was focusing on including a diagram in their writing so that the reader can understand more about the topic we are writing about.

The topic i chose was, How does the life cycle of a butterfly work? Our teacher said if we have the same topic as some else, we could work together!
I enjoyed writing about How does the life cycle of a butterfly work? I also found it quite fun learning new things from my topic.
Have you ever done explanation writing? Here is my writing:
How does the life cycle of a butterfly work?
The life cycle of a butterfly is truly amazing! Butterflies have four stages of life, egg, larva pupa and the adult butterfly. Each of the four stages are very unique which is part of what makes raising and watching a butterfly so much interesting!
The egg stage
All types of butterflies start as a tiny egg. The eggs usually last for about a week or two, and then at some point the egg will hatch into a butterfly larva.
Larva stage
A caterpillar is the larva stage of a butterfly. The caterpillar hatches from a very tiny egg and then it will eventually turn into an adult butterfly or moth. The larva stage usually lasts from two weeks to about a month.
The pupa stage ( Chrysalis )
The pupa of butterflies can be called “ Chrysalis “ . The pupa of many moths is protected inside a cocoon of silk. The pupa stage can last a couple of weeks, a month or even longer!
The adult stage
The adult stage looks very different from the larva. The caterpillar has tiny eyes, stubby legs and very short antennae. The adults have long legs, long antennae, and compound eyes.
Conclusion
When you learn all the different stages of a butterfly, you’ve learned that butterflies, just like all living things, have a special process of life that they go through.

Writing (Hook)
This week my group was learning how to use a hook to hook a reader in with our writing! We were only writing our introduction of our story, so that is why the writing you will see below is not finished. The teacher first gave us a Y chart to brainstorm our writing on. After we finish brainstorming we had to go on the mat to write our writing. Then we had peer assessment with someone that is close to your age to do your assessment with you.
We had to glue in our learning intention in our writing book. My learning intention was using onomatopoeia (sound), dialogue (talking), short sharp sentences and describe the setting. I feel like i did pretty well on my learning intention, except dialogues. My next goal is to master my dialogues.
For our peer assessment we had to read our writings to each other and then we give two medals and a mission. I enjoyed writing the hook of my writing. I found it tricky to finish the writing in time but in the end, I finished it!
Did my writing hook you in? If not, please give me some tips on how to make it better! Here is my writing!

We needed to include their story, pictures what heroic things they did and a picture of their statue if they have one. I chose Corporal Wojtek as my favourite animal war hero. I enjoyed adding the facts about Corporal Wojtek. My digital learning object shows that i can use google slides. Here is my work!

The story of easter!
Last week for reading we were learning to summarise and trying to retell the story of easter. We first had to go on a class site and we had to read a story about holy week then we also had to watch a video about the story of easter (Jesus sacrifice). Then on the second step we had to grab little pup it's and colour them in and cut them out so we can screencastify it . After we coloured and cut the pup it's out, me and my classmate walked outside, we grabbed our chair and pup it's and she was holding the pup it's and i was reading out the story. What I found it tricky was that to publish in time because it took a few days to complete. I enjoyed reading out the story of easter. Here is me and my classmate retelling the story of easter!

Ash wednesday!
Two weeks ago were learning about ash wednesday. Ash wednesday is the first day of lent, so the teacher gave us a activity to do for RE which was an lenten promise. She gave us a sheet of paper to write, colour and cut out. First we had to write what to do in lent, for an example for fasting it means that you have to give up at least one thing for lent, like that you gave up eating chocolate or lollies and some other things that you can give up on. On the second step after we finish writing the promises for lent, we had to colour it in. And the last step we had to cut the pieces out. I really did enjoy colouring the lenten promise sheet, i also enjoyed learning about lent. I found it a bit tricky to post it in time and cutting the pieces out. What did you give up for lent? what are you promising to do? what are you doing for almsgiving? Please tell me what one of these that you did in the comments!
My favourite toy!
Today we learning to describe in our writing. In our success criteria is i will use specific nouns, i will use adjectives and i will use juicy verbs. First we had to read a story of a person called yasmin, so we could have some ideas to write about our favourite toys. after we read it we highlight how many adjectives, verbs and nouns she has. We had to put our title the name of our favourite toy. The first paragraph is describing what your favourite toy looks like, and on the second paragraph it was about what you did with your toy when you were little and where it is now. After we finish our writing we had to go on canvas to publish our stories that we wrote. It was a bit tricky since i haven't use it before, but then one of my amazing friend helped me on canvas to publish my writing. I enjoyed using canva and experimenting something new. I also enjoyed writing about my favourite toy named floppy when i was little. What is your favourite toy? Is it a teddy like mine? or maybe a doll? You can tell me in the comments what you did with your favourite toy when you were little, I would love to read them!

What pets do room 1 have or prefer?
For the past few weeks we were learning to gather, sort and display multivariate data. We had to try to ask everyone in the class. I was trying to see how much people have a cat, dog, fish or none, and we also had to use tally-marks to gather our information. Then we put how much your tally-marks are on a google sheet, then we made a graph with some help of tutorials on the classsite. I thought it was a bit tricky for me to finish in time because i didn't really know how to make a graph before but then i know now because one amazing person made a tutorial of how to make a graph if you don't know how to and i'm one of them so i watched the tutorial and i managed to do it very quickly because of how she explained on the tutorial. I found out that cats had the most tally marks! Cats have 11, dogs have 8, fish and none is 2, i might have missed some people but i tried to question a few or even a couple of the people in my class. Here is my work.

Today i was doing a activity about kawa of care. It was pretty easy to do since i already knew these stuff from last year. After i finished my kawa of care, i did file, published to the web and then i embed it. It was quite hard to publish it because i haven't post ANYTHING on my blog for a long time, but here is my work.
