This week our class was doing a May Reflection. Since it was nearly the end of May we decided to reflect on this month. For the reading section, we had to say what books you have been reading, and what type of reader we would recommend the book to. For math, it said what your confident with, and what you need to practice (division timetables subtraction ect). This month we also did lots of coding with the beebots and micro bits. We had to say what you found easy in coding and what you found tricky. We also wrote a trivia for people to answer! Can you answer the questions without looking at the answers?

Museum of Technology!
This week our class went on a trip to the Museum of Technology. It was very interesting to learn about the past technology and how they use them, because this term our learning focus was the past present and future. I enjoyed to look at all the things from the olden days like old computers and wheelchairs! Did you know that they have video games in the olden days? Here's some photos of our class at the Museum of Technology!

Past present future
Today for Cybersmart we were learning how to get images safely. We went on the slide and one side was the past and the other side was what it is now. We has to remember to get the images that are labeled for reuse. I enjoyed learning about the past and present. I found it a bit challenging to use the mote button. My digital learning object shows that I can embed my slide and get images that are labeled for reuse.

Writing (Hook)
This week my group was learning how to use a hook to hook a reader in with our writing! We were only writing our introduction of our story, so that is why the writing you will see below is not finished. The teacher first gave us a Y chart to brainstorm our writing on. After we finish brainstorming we had to go on the mat to write our writing. Then we had peer assessment with someone that is close to your age to do your assessment with you.
We had to glue in our learning intention in our writing book. My learning intention was using onomatopoeia (sound), dialogue (talking), short sharp sentences and describe the setting. I feel like i did pretty well on my learning intention, except dialogues. My next goal is to master my dialogues.
For our peer assessment we had to read our writings to each other and then we give two medals and a mission. I enjoyed writing the hook of my writing. I found it tricky to finish the writing in time but in the end, I finished it!
Did my writing hook you in? If not, please give me some tips on how to make it better! Here is my writing!
"Da-Dum! The sun was shining brightly as I slowly approached the stage.
Am I nervous?
Yes
Was I scared?
Yes
Why?
One reason people were shouting at me!''
BeeBots!
This week our class was learning how to programme BeeBots! Firstly, we had to put all the numbers on the floor and then our teacher will give us a number! We took tiny steps to know how many steps we need for the code. After we figure out the distance between the start point and the number, we wrote them down on our chromebooks. Then, we put the code we had written down into the BeeBot and this is how we programmed our BeeBots! I enjoyed coding the BeeBots! I found it a bit tricky to count the right steps. Here is a picture of the Bee Bot!
Sign language week!
This week I was learning to analyse and synthesise! Our reading task was showing people how to sign our own names in sign language on screencastify since it was sign language week. I found it very challenging to sign my name in sign language and finding a quiet place to record it. Although I did enjoy recording and showing how to sign my name in sign language! Here is the video.

Corporal Wojtek
This week for reading we were learning to summarize. We went on the class site and watched three articles about WW1 and what animals were there in WW1. After we read the articles we created a slide that shares informations about your favourite animal war hero. We needed to include their story, pictures what heroic things they did and a picture of their statue if they have one. I chose Corporal Wojtek as my favourite animal war hero. I enjoyed adding the facts about Corporal Wojtek. My digital learning object shows that i can use google slides. Here is my work!
